DO YOU KNOW ABOUT PINK LAKE OF INDIA ?
Friends we are trapped in our own home during this lockdown, but nature continues to do its own thing normally. Today we will talk about a studied lake. There is a lake called Lonar in Maharashtra and in India. There has been a lot of change in the color of the water in that lake since 30th May 2020. The color of that water was green on 30th May but within 10 days that water has turned pink. It is believed that the lake was formed thousands of years ago when a meteorite hit the ground. The lake is very popular with visitors. Lonar Lake is also mentioned in many old texts. By 10th June, the color of the lake changed dramatically from green to pink. It is generally thought that this is due to the high alkalinity of the water and the decrease in the amount of water. This has happened before in this place but the color of the water has never changed so much. It is a completely natural conversion and the pH level of this water is much higher. However, there are more such lakes in the world. There is a lake in Australia called Pink Lake. However, its water has been pink for many years. The color didn't change suddenly like Lonar lake. The water of Pink Lake also has very high pH levels like that of Lonar. However, experiments have been started to find out the reason for the color change of Lonar lake.
